I love using technology to share music from around the world with my students, but each year, I try to provide experiences to see and hear live performances. We are so lucky to live in Richmond with a vibrant music scene all around us-even here in our school!
So far, we’ve enjoyed performances from an Irish folk group called The Green Fields of America, and our 3rd grade students took a field trip to see the Richmond Symphony Orchestra!
Today, the Richmond Symphony is sending a string quartet to Fisher! The 4 musicians of the string quartet will perform a casual concert for our students, while teaching them a bit about their instruments, the pieces they play, and the composers who wrote them. Be sure to ask your child about the incredible live performances they’ve experienced this year.
