March is Music In Our Schools Month and this year’s theme is “Music Makes Me ___________!” Students filled in the blank, and their answers are decorating the school’s hallway!
We also have a music related trivia question on the announcements each day. I randomly select one or two names from the answer box each day, and if the answer is correct, they receive a pencil, a sticker, and a coupon for a free chicken salad sandwich! At the end of the month, another name will be drawn from all of the correct answers to receive a Music In Our Schools Month t-shirt, a cd, and a few other fun prizes.
The 4th and 5th grade students can participate in a writing contest. Entries are due on March 24th, and the first runners-up will receive Sweet Frog gift cards. The class with the most entries will receive an ice cream party, and the overall winner of the contest will receive lunch from their favorite restaurant!
