Horton Hears a What?

We’re celebrating Read Across America week and Dr. Seuss day at Fisher this week! The teachers participated in a door decorating contest to Seuss-ify our school. I decorated my door like one of my favorite books, Horton Hears a Who…check it out:

 

We’re going to play a game of Horton Hears a What? in music on Thursday to celebrate! Students will listen to different instrument sounds and try to guess what Horton is hearing!

Second Grade Mnemonic Devices

2nd grade students are learning to read music! They learned the mnemonic device Every Good Boy Does Fine for the lines of the treble staff. Then, they worked with a friend to create their own mnemonic device and illustrate the new phrases. Check out the bulletin board in the Epsilon building to see what they created!
