This year, 3rd grade students will be learning to play recorders during music class! At the beginning of the year, students took a pre-test on the Note Tree and Stem Direction for notes on the staff to show what they already knew. In order to earn their recorders, students have to pass a Benchmark test on the first half of that pre-test, the Note Tree. Knowing notes and rests and their values is an important skill to help the students read the music they’ll be playing on their recorders! Don’t forget to study if you have yet to earn your recorder!
